Frequently asked questions
What is the time value of money?
The time value of money means a rupee available today can be worth more than the same rupee received later because today's money can earn a return. It helps compare cash amounts that occur at different times.
How is EMI calculated?
An EMI is calculated from the loan amount, periodic interest rate, and number of repayment periods. Each payment includes interest on the outstanding balance and repayment of part of the principal.
How long will my retirement corpus last?
That depends on the starting corpus, withdrawal amount and timing, investment return, and withdrawal frequency. If expected growth meets or exceeds withdrawals, the corpus may not be exhausted under the entered assumptions.
What return did my investment actually earn?
The earned return is the annual rate that connects what you invested with its current value over the stated period. Regular additions and their timing also affect the result.
